Concept Behind PAIP
✔️ Precision Agriculture Incubation Program is a youth-centric digital agriculture capacity-building program from the staple of PRECISION FIELD ACADEMY, The classic African Digital Agriculture Training School, is causing rapid transformation in the Global Agriculture sector through comprehensive and expository training of youth on the concept of precision agriculture technologies and its application to solve today’s pressing challenges emanating in the Agriculture landscape to strengthen and stabilize economic prosperity
✔️ Recognizing the transformative potential of precision agriculture, there is an urgent need to equip young emerging farmers, agricultural professionals, and aspiring agripreneurs who fall into the demography of youth with the requisite knowledge and skills to harness these technologies effectively for global opportunity and exploits.
✔️ The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program (PAIP) addresses this need by providing comprehensive training in key areas such as drone technology, GIS, data science, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial intelligence (AI), Machine learning(ML), Personal and Corporate branding, drone business, and entrepreneurship.
✔️ Through this program, participants are empowered to embrace innovation, optimize farm management practices, and contribute to the overall advancement of the agricultural sector by creating local content digital solutions.

The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program provides holistic training, introducing participants to Precision Agriculture, Sustainable and Data-Driven Farming and Application of Drones in Agriculture.
It covers technical digital agriculture courses and includes modules on Corporate and Personal Branding. Capacity building is emphasised, ensuring participants acquire a diverse skill set for a successful and impactful career in the evolving landscape of agriculture and technology.
The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program (PAIP) is an intensive six-week
program designed to empower youth and women with the skills and knowledge needed to revolutionize agriculture.
The commencement date for cohort 3 is July 29th
Within this time frame Participants will explore the potential of emerging technologies and learn how to innovate within the agricultural sector.
By the end of the program, participants will be equipped to drive positive change and shape the future of agriculture right from their local communities
PAIP COHORT 3 WILL FOCUS MAJORLY ON THE OUTLINED TECHNOLOGIES BELOW:
DRONE TECHNOLOGY
This module provides an overview of drone technology in agriculture, focusing on its role in data collection, processing, and reporting to support decision making.
GIS DATA AND REMOTE SENSING
Participants will gain practical and theoretical knowledge on GIS software and remote sensing tools, which enable farmers to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & DATA SCIENCE
AI and Data Science are transforming agriculture by enabling predictive analytics and real-time decision-making.
ROBOTICS AND INTERNET OF THINGS
This section covers the use of robotics and IoT in agriculture to improve efficiency and productivity.
PERSONAL AND ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT FOR AGTECH INNOVATORS
This module equips participants with essential skills to launch and grow Agtech businesses
The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program offers two distinct tracks to cater
to varied career aspirations.
Employability Track focuses on equipping participants with skills sought by
industry, emphasizing employability in agricultural technology and research
roles.
Entrepreneurship Track empowers individuals to launch their ventures,
providing the knowledge and resources necessary for establishing successful
social/Agri-business enterprises.
Participants can choose the track aligning with their goals, ensuring a tailored learning experience that prepares them for diverse opportunities in the agricultural sector.
The Precision Agriculture Incubation Program adopts a dual-mode training approach, catering to diverse learning needs.
Virtual/Online classes: offer a flexible and accessible platform for theoretical modules, ensuring participants can engage from anywhere using Zoom and Google classroom platforms.
Classroom Lessons: Involves a physical activity like tests, interactions and networking, including flight simulation training on drone operations in agriculture.
Physical (On-site) Field Training: provides hands-on experience in real agricultural settings, allowing participants to apply knowledge directly to practical scenarios.
This combination of virtual and on-site training ensures a well-rounded and immersive learning experience, preparing participants for the dynamic challenges of the agricultural industry.
- Must be between the age of 18 years to 35 years.
- Must have a background in Agriculture engineering, agriculture
science or agriculture related field. - Must be passionate about precision and digital agriculture.
- Must be available for both online and on-site training.
- Must be committed to start and complete the training.
- Must be a graduate or undergraduate finalist in Agriculture with
proof. - Females are greatly encouraged to apply (40% inclusion)
Training Delivery Methods:
Training methods cover virtual facilitations, workshops, hands-on activities,
field trips, online resources and guest speaker sessions. This multi-faceted
approach ensures a comprehensive learning experience for participants,
combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Training Materials and Resources:
During the training participants were given various resources to complement
their learning such as books, electronic manuals, software tools, and
equipment required for hands-on training and learning activities. The program
also utilized online platforms and digital courses to enhance the learning
process.

Regularly review and update program content, training modules, and
delivery methods to ensure alignment with industry trends, technological
advancements, and also monitor and evaluate participants' learning
progress.
